5/5/09  Latest update on field

It has really been a wet spring and the road to the field has suffered. It was almost impassable at one point. Well we have fixed it and the field is open for flying now.

We also started work on the new east - west runway. The weeds have been cut and as soon as it dries a little more we will start leveling it out and plant the grass. It should be up and running in the middle of summer.

We are looking at having two events this year. An Electric only event in the end of august and our normal fall fly-in, in the middle of September. Both will have a landing fee and lunch.

We are also thinking about have a type of pylon racing were everyone can join in. If you are interested, let me know. I need to work on the format and rules. Basically it would be run like bracket racing.

Small scale, Giant scale Electrics, Gas

No matter what you fly, big or small, gas or electric. Mt. Moriah R/C airport is the place to fly. The airport is big enough to handle giant scale war birds and the smallest electric. We are starting construction on a 2.4 small electric area with runway away from the bigger aircraft.
The main field has three pilot stations and room for more, along with safety fences. All laid out according to the AMA field specs.
